WAEC Practical Specimen 2025/2026
Practical exams are a key part of WAEC, where students demonstrate their hands-on skills and knowledge using provided specimens and materials.
WAEC Practical Specimens is to provide students with the necessary materials and resources to conduct practical exams, allowing them to demonstrate their hands-on skills and understanding in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and others.
These specimens ensure that assessments are consistent, standardized, and aligned with the required curriculum.

Note: Specimens for the practical exam should be provided in groups for 5 to 10 candidates, with each specimen clearly labeled (e.g., A, B, C, etc.). This ensures that each candidate has access to the necessary materials for their examination.
Each candidate must be provided with essential materials for the exam, including a hand lens, scalpel or razor blade, forceps, hand gloves, spatula, Petri dish, Fehling’s solutions A and B, and iodine solution. These items are crucial for conducting experiments and making accurate observations during the practical exam.
A separate Report Form must be completed by the examiner, documenting the necessary details about the specimens, any difficulties encountered during the exam, and any challenges faced by candidates that may not be evident in their scripts. The form should also include experimental observations as instructed. A completed Report Form should be enclosed with each set of exam scripts for review.
WAEC Agricultural Science Practical Specimen 2025/2026
Instructions
Great care must be taken to ensure that the provided information does not reach the candidates before the examination. The responsibility for providing specimens, materials, and equipment rests with the examiner.
If a specimen is in limited supply, it should be shared among small groups of candidates. Each candidate should be provided with appropriately labeled specimens for the exam.

Note: At the start of the exam, candidates should be informed that if they cannot proceed with an experiment after 15 minutes, they may ask the examiner for help. However, hints should not be given to the entire group, and if a candidate requires assistance, they must approach the examiner individually and explain their difficulty. Any help provided must be noted, including the candidate’s name and index number.
The Report Form must document detailed information about the apparatus, any difficulties candidates faced that may not be evident from their scripts, and any unavoidable deviations from the specified items. Additionally, any assistance given to candidates under the outlined regulations should be recorded.
If multiple sets of apparatus are provided, each item must be clearly marked (A, B, C, etc.), with corresponding details reported. The examiner must ensure that candidates are aware of these markings and instruct them to record them in their scripts. A completed Report Form must be enclosed with each set of exam scripts for review.
WAEC Chemistry Practical Specimen 2025/2026
Great care must be taken to ensure that the information in items 2 and 3 does not reach the candidates before the exam. In addition to standard chemistry laboratory equipment, each candidate will require specific apparatus and materials for the examination.

Practical Instructions
Each candidate should be supplied with specific materials labeled according to their serial number. These include 150 cm³ of a hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution, 150 cm³ of sodium carbonate (Na₂CO₃·10 H₂O) solution, a spatulaful of glucose in a specimen bottle, and a spatulaful of zinc oxide powder, all clearly labeled with the candidate’s serial number (e.g., ‘An’, ‘Bn’, ‘Cn’, ‘Dn’). These quantities and substances must be uniform for all candidates, with the concentrations of the solutions clearly stated on the Supervisor’s Report Form.
More materials may be provided if needed, but the concentrations specified in the question paper must be followed, and no substitutions or amendments should be made to the substances listed in the Specimen/Instructions. It is essential that schools do not alter the information provided to candidates.
The laboratory seating should be numbered sequentially, with candidates assigned to their seats based on their index numbers. Each specimen provided to a candidate must correspond with their serial number. If a candidate is absent, their serial number should not be reassigned to another candidate, ensuring that each candidate’s materials are unique.
At the start of the exam, candidates must record both their serial number and index number on the front page of their answer booklets. Their answers will be marked according to these serial numbers, ensuring proper identification and accurate grading throughout the examination.
Supervisor’s Report Forms should be completed and enclosed with each envelope of exam scripts. The chemistry teacher is responsible for carrying out the titrations required in question 1, ensuring that the titration results are accurate to at least one decimal place and carefully verified. This should be done simultaneously with the candidates’ titrations to avoid any discrepancies that could unfairly affect the candidates’ results.
Any difficulties experienced by candidates, particularly those that the Examiner may not be able to identify from the scripts, must be reported. This ensures that any issues encountered during the practical exam are documented for review.
A cautionary statement about the toxicity of chemicals should be read to candidates before the practical exam begins. Candidates should be reminded that, while care has been taken in selecting chemicals, they can still be dangerous if not handled properly.
They should immediately report any unusual sensations, rinse their mouth with water if chemicals are ingested, and wash their hands thoroughly after handling chemicals. Proper safety arrangements should be in place to prevent accidents.
WAEC Animal Husbandry Practical Specimen 2025/2026
If a specimen is not available in sufficient quantity, it should be shared among small groups of candidates. Each candidate must be provided with the required specimens, which should be clearly labeled according to the candidate’s serial number for proper identification during the exam.
